The Role

As the Protestant Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE), you'll lead and organize religious education programs for elementary-aged kids at MCAS Iwakuni. You’ll shape weekly experiences, seasonal events, and summer activities that help kids grow in their Christian faith.

Location: MCAS Iwakuni, Japan

Pay: $18–$20/hr (based on experience)

Schedule: 22 hours/week (1099 contractor)

Open to: U.S. citizens with DoD community affiliation (military, civilian, contractor, or dependent)

The Person

You should apply if you:

  • Have 1+ year of experience in religious education or youth program coordination
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Are organized, motivated, and confident leading kids and adults
  • Can pass a background check (required for working with children)
  • Are already part of the DoD community and eligible to work on base
