Senior Manager, Events & Partnerships (Temporary – 22 Month Contract)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) | Reports to: Vice President, Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives
Salary: $80,000 – $88,000 annually, plus benefits

The Role
As Senior Manager, Events & Partnerships, you’ll lead the planning of key fundraising and stewardship events for Special Olympics Canada and manage a select group of National Partners. This includes overseeing our signature LIMITLESS Gala and supporting the Games Experience programs at both the 2026 Canada Games in Alberta and the 2027 World Games in Chile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and delivery of LIMITLESS: The Special Olympics Gala
  • Manage logistics, planning, and hosting for National and World Games Experiences
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for designated National Partners
  • Oversee partner-related stewardship activities, including VIP events and recognition
  • Collaborate across departments on grant applications, campaigns, and special projects
  • Track activities and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Support new third-party fundraising events and general development initiatives

The Person
We’re looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in event management and partner relations
  • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with corporate donors, vendors, and volunteers
  • Comfort working under pressure and traveling occasionally (including weekends)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel); bilingualism is an asset
  • A commitment to inclusion and the power of sport
