Clinical Supervisor (Counselling – Adults, Children & Young People) – Part-time

£22,400 + benefits | 24 hours per week (flexible) | Stockport, SK1 3DL

This is a counselling supervision role — not a medical, nursing, or hospital-based position.

If you are a qualified counsellor with formal supervision training, this role gives you the chance to support other counsellors delivering therapeutic work with adults, children and young people — and to do so in a values-led, counselling-focused service.

We are looking for a Clinical Supervisor with a counselling background to join Beacon Counselling in Stockport. Your guidance will directly support counsellors in practice, helping them deliver safe, ethical, and effective therapeutic work.

The Role

You’ll help shape the care our team gives—offering support, advice, and insight so they feel confident and equipped to do their best work. You’ll also play a key role in safeguarding and service decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Run one-to-one and group supervision sessions, so your team feels backed and supported
• Keep supervision records up to date, helping everything run smoothly and professionally
• Offer advice around safeguarding and clinical risks, helping keep clients and therapists safe
• Share ideas to improve how we work—your voice counts
• Be flexible with working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, so we can meet client needs

The Person

• You’ve got at least a Level 4 counselling qualification
• You’ve completed a recognised supervision qualification
• You’re registered with BACP or a similar professional body
• You’ve worked with both adults and young people, and know how to support therapists doing the same
• You’re confident with safeguarding, and calm under pressure
• You’re approachable, organised, and care about helping others grow
