About Traugott

Traugott Building Contractors Inc. is a trusted Canadian builder with more than 60 years of experience delivering high-quality Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) projects across Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. We are known for our integrity, collaborative approach, and commitment to safety, quality, and building lasting relationships.

As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager who excels in full-cycle project delivery—someone who is technically strong, solutions-driven, and committed to leading teams with professionalism and clarity.

Position Summary

The Project Manager (ICI Construction) is accountable for the successful execution of all phases of assigned projects—from pre-construction and estimating support through construction, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.

You will oversee the full project lifecycle, provide leadership to Project Coordinators and Site Supervisors, and ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Traugott’s standards.

This is an ideal opportunity for a PM who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in client-facing interactions, and is experienced working on ICI builds ranging from medium-scale to complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Estimating to support bid proposals, trade scope reviews, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, and procurement strategies.
  • Project Execution & Leadership
  • Lead full-cycle project delivery, ensuring alignment between project objectives, client expectations, and Traugott quality standards.
  • Oversee daily project operations, including coordination with Site Supervisors, Project Coordinators, subtrades, and external consultants.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, change orders, RFIs, shop drawings, procurement, and project documentation.
  • Chair project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Uphold Traugott’s safety culture by ensuring compliance with OHSA, applicable provincial legislation, and internal H&S protocols.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Proactively address issues, provide updates, and promote a collaborative working environment.
  • Ensure a positive client experience from project award to turnover.

Quality Assurance & Closeout

  • Conduct quality reviews and ensure deficiencies are tracked and resolved promptly.
  • Oversee commissioning, occupancy coordination, O&M manual completeness, and turnover documentation.
  • Lead post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in ICI construction project management.
  • Proven track record managing full-cycle builds ranging from $2M–$50M+.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and contract structures (CCDC, stipulated sum, design-build, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders and lead teams with confidence, fairness, and accountability.
