Production Trainee -£23,802.64 + Bonus – Tonbridge, Kent

The Role

Are you practical, steady-handed and keen to learn hands-on technical skills? Do you enjoy work that requires focus, accuracy and the satisfaction of seeing quality results? If so, a Trainee in Production role at Graticules Optics could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

You will learn how to support the manufacture of precision micro-patterns used in optical components. Working within our Electroforming Department in Tonbridge, you will be guided every step of the way, gaining skills that are rare and highly valued.


You will carry out practical tasks such as cleaning, preparation, electro-plating and quality checking. The work is detailed and hands-on. We will teach you how to do everything – all we ask is enthusiasm, a steady approach and the willingness to listen and learn.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be trained to:

  • Prepare and clean components ready for production.
  • Carry out electroforming and resist dipping processes.
  • Check and test parts to ensure they meet strict quality standards.
  • Follow established procedures and health & safety guidance.
  • Work with micro-patterns and fine detail, often using microscopes.
