Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, leases, and joint venture documents.
  • Manage due diligence processes, including title reviews and property assessments.
  • Represent the company in zoning, planning, and redevelopment board meetings.
  • Provide guidance on zoning laws, environmental regulations, and land use compliance.
  • Collaborate with development teams, architects, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Identify potential legal risks and propose practical, strategic solutions.

The Person

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership of the New Jersey State Bar (New York admission is a plus).
  • 3–7 years’ experience in real estate law, land use, or zoning.
  • Strong working knowledge of New Jersey zoning and environmental laws.
  • Excellent communicator, negotiator, and problem solver.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and motivated by meaningful work.
