We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with strong ICI [retail, corporate, and airport] project experience. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates from initial concept through to final submission, supporting our project teams in securing and executing successful projects.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Project Cost Estimation & Budgeting
  • Tendering & Bid Preparation
  • Subcontractor & Supplier Liaison
  • Quantity Take-offs & Pricing
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for projects, including retail fit-outs and new builds, corporate offices, and airport facilities.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to identify required materials, labor, and time for project execution.
  • Maintain a database of subcontractor and supplier pricing, ensuring competitive and accurate submissions.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and clients to align estimates with project goals.
  • Conduct site visits as required to assess project requirements and validate assumptions.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures within estimates.
  • Track and monitor actual project costs versus estimated budgets to improve future forecasting.
  • Prepare and deliver timely, accurate bid submissions in compliance with deadlines.

 

Knowledge and Skills You Bring:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in estimating for retail, corporate, airport construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proven ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
  • Proficient in estimating software and MS Office Suite [Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams].
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for subcontractor/supplier relations.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong team player who collaborates well across departments.
  • Flexibility to travel to project sites or client meetings as required.
