(£27,362 - £28,709 pro rata, inclusive of £3,120 island allowance)

Our Orkney team is dedicated to empowering autistic people to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives since 2013. Currently supporting 8 autistic people in Kirkwall, we support people to engage in the activities they love and to be a valued part of the community.

As an Autism Practitioner, you will work across Housing Support & Outreach services to:

  • Develop personalised support plans and build positive relationships.
  • Support individuals in making choices, exploring interests, and to live independently.
  • Partner with families and healthcare professionals to focus on each individual’s goals. 

Some activities the people we support enjoy:

  • Swimming,
  • Visiting the lifestyle centre,
  • Going out for meals and to local coffee shops,
  • Long, scenic walks,
  • Attending seasonal events.
