Outside Sales / Territory Manager - Twin Cities Territory - Building Materials Distributor

Location: Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul Area

A leading Midwest-based building materials distributor with over 80 years of proven success is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join its growing team. With five warehouse locations and a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and service, this company offers stability, autonomy, and real support to help you thrive in your territory.

This is a full-time, field-based sales role where you’ll own a defined region, build lasting client relationships, and collaborate with inside sales, product specialists, and marketing to deliver high-impact solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and grow your own book of business in the Twin Cities and surrounding area
  • Build long-term client relationships with regular on-site visits and tailored support
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, projects, and product solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to quote, manage orders, and track progress
  • Represent premium product lines in categories like plywood, hardware, and laminates
  • Participate in customer events, trade shows, and targeted sales campaigns
  • Consistently meet sales targets and territory growth goals

What You’ll Bring

  • 2–3 years of outside sales experience (building materials or related industry preferred)
  • A proactive, relationship-first sales style
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort with CRM tools and managing your own territory
  • Ability to travel throughout the Twin Cities and attend occasional customer events
