The Role

Established in 1994 and proudly celebrating 30 years in the industry, CLC Utility Services Ltd has built a strong reputation for delivering safe, efficient, high-quality services and turnkey solutions to the utility sector.  We’re looking for a Street Works Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish.

As a Street Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing permits, coordinating with stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You’ll work closely with local authorities, clients, and contractors to keep projects on track and meet service level agreements.

Important: Not commutable via public transport. A full UK driving licence and own transport are essential due to the remote location.
Working Pattern: Full-time, 7.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, Weekend & Bank Holiday Cover where required. On-site only (no remote working).

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Manage and process street works permits in compliance with NRSWA regulations.
  • Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and clients to coordinate works.
  • Request permit extensions to avoid penalties and Section 74 liability.
  • Maintain accurate records, including permits and inspection reports.
  • Monitor compliance with legal, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Arrange traffic management and specialist services where required.
  • Report weekly on customer contact and provide resolution updates to clients.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements for greater efficiency.

The Person

  • Knowledge of NRSWA noticing and previous experience in utilities or street works (preferred).
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
  • IT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience using Maximo, Symology, Street Manager, or Aurora (advantageous).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (essential).
