The Role

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive services at White and McBride Elementary Schools on Fort Benning, GA. This full-time W2 contract runs from July 30, 2025, through October 31, 2025, with a potential extension to December 23, 2025. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling on topics like academic success, behavior, and stress management
  • Conduct and interpret psychological assessments to support learning and behavior strategies
  • Consult with teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
  • Participate in developing and implementing school-wide programs (e.g., conflict resolution, social skills)
  • Advise Student Assistance Teams and help create accommodation/modification plans
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with school and community professionals
  • Support crisis intervention efforts and professional learning activities
  • Attend virtual and occasional face-to-face meetings as required
  • Follow all safety, conduct, and privacy standards in a school setting 

The Person

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a master’s degree in school psychology or a state license
  • Has completed a practicum in school psychology
  • Is fluent in English and confident using basic computer systems
  • Can pass a recent criminal background check
  • Dresses professionally and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
  • Can work well independently and as part of a team
