The Role

Do you have a strong background in multimedia and audio-visual technology? Can you support worship services in a respectful, organized, and mission-driven environment?

We’re looking for a Protestant Multimedia Contractor to support RAF Mildenhall’s Chapel community. This is a non-personal services contract role providing multimedia support to weekly worship services and special chapel events.

You’ll assist the Protestant Chaplain and Music Director by delivering high-quality audio-visual services for worship, rehearsals, and events. This includes managing multimedia equipment, training volunteers, and maintaining digital content. You’ll ensure all media is appropriately licensed and that operations are smooth and professional.

This is a part-time, 1099 contract position for 1–3 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide AV support for weekly services and rehearsals
  • Operate and maintain multimedia equipment and software (e.g., PRO Presenter, iTunes, Final Cut Pro X)
  • Train and support chapel volunteers on equipment use
  • Record and save weekly sermons; upload content to approved social media
  • Maintain Protestant Chapel social media presence (with prior approval)
  • Ensure all multimedia activities comply with Chapel and Air Force policies
  • Arrive two hours prior to each service for setup; clean up afterward
  • Support special events and holiday programs as needed

The Person

  • At least 2 years’ experience in multimedia worship coordination (military chapel experience preferred)
  • Skilled with current AV software and hardware
  • Confident managing recording, editing, and streaming of services
  • Able to work independently and respectfully within a religiously plural environment
  • Must complete a background check and submit required forms (SF85, OF306)
  • Available for occasional special services and training events
