The Role

Are you skilled at organizing construction project details and keeping things on track? Do you have a solid grasp of project documentation and coordination? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

Pacific Ridge Builders is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Sunnyvale office.

In this role, you will support the Project Manager and project team with all phases of construction. From coordinating schedules and documentation to managing subcontractor communications, you will help ensure that projects move smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Manager and team members with project administration
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Project Superintendent to create, track and update construction schedules
  • MEP coordination
  • Create, distribute and track RFIs
  • Prepare submittal schedule and submittal packages upon review of scope and specifications
  • Review subcontractor shop drawings and submittals for adherence to plans and specifications
  • Maintain organized project binders and digital files
  • Understand contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and changes orders
  • Prepare project close out packages
  • Coordinate and attend job walks
  • Participation and coordination of project meetings, manage meeting minutes

The Person

  • Basic understanding of construction schedules, drawings, and construction timelines
  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedicated to task completion
  • Problem solver
  • Knowledge of MS Project
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience using project management, knowledge of AutoDesk and/or Procore is preferred

Education & Certifications

  • AA or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
