An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to lead on the delivery of Housing First in the Winchester District. Housing First is an innovative approach to supporting the most excluded and hard to reach clients who have a history of rough sleeping into independent and stable accommodation and supporting them to sustain this accommodation by helping to address the issues that led to homelessness. This is a varied and challenging role for a resilient individual working with a caseload of up to 7 clients at any one time, providing intensive support by adopting a flexible, creative and personalised approach. The role will work directly with the clients and alongside established partner agencies to provide a multi-agency approach to ensuring the individuals can rebuild their lives. Experience working in homelessness, housing, or support services is highly desirable, however, full training will be provided. If you can demonstrate excellent interpersonal, decision making and organisational skills but most importantly be able to work in a person-centred, trauma informed way this might be the opportunity for you to shape the future of lives and services in the Winchester District. The successful candidate will be required to be adaptable and flexible to respond to the needs of individuals. You will need a full driving licence and access to your own transport to cover the travel requirements of the post, which will include travelling across the District to reach those in need of support.
