The Role

We are looking for an experienced Lithographic Printer to join our team. As a key member of the printing team, you will be responsible for setting, preparing, running, and maintaining printing presses to meet production targets and quality standards. You will oversee a team of assistants, ensuring smooth operations throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and run the printing machine, ensuring it operates efficiently.
  • Examine printed sheets and adjust the press settings as required.
  • Ensure production runs smoothly and meet KPI and quality targets.
  • Manage crew effectively and ensure all shift duties are completed as a team.
  • Maintain the printing machines and the work area to the highest standards.
  • Cover the No.1 Printer role during periods of absence.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback for process optimisation.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • GCSE standard education
  • City & Guilds Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Printing and Graphic Communications
  • Time-served apprenticeship
  • Solid understanding of the print industry, equipment, and processes
  • Previous manufacturing experience is essential
