Concierge | Night Shift – £13.15 per hour – Croydon / South-East London

The role
We’re looking for a dedicated Concierge to join our night team at Quo Vadis Trust (QVT), a specialist housing charity in South-East London. This role is central to ensuring the safety and comfort of residents living with mental health needs in our 24-hour supported housing scheme. You’ll be a key contact overnight, helping to maintain a secure and pleasant environment.

  • Shifts: Primarily night shifts, with occasional daytime cover
  • Contract: 30 or 40 hours per week
  • Pay: £13.15 per hour (£20,514 for 30hrs / £27,352 for 40hrs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming presence for residents and visitors
  • Respond quickly and appropriately in emergencies
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the property
  • Keep accurate records on our client database
  • Carry out regular property and health & safety checks
  • Support residents with moving in or out
  • Assist with light cleaning and minor repairs
  • Collaborate with staff and external partners
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues
  • Adhere to safeguarding and health & safety policies.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient
  • Confident in dealing with a variety of situations, including emergencies
  • Computer literate, with experience using databases
  • Clear and effective in communication
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and willing to work unsociable hours
  • Aware of issues related to mental health, housing, and tenancy sustainment.
