Concierge | Day Shift – £23,933 per annum– Croydon / South-East London

The role
Quo Vadis Trust (QVT) is seeking a full-time Concierge to join our team supporting residents with mental health needs in a 24-hour supported housing scheme. Based in Croydon and South-East London, this role focuses on delivering a welcoming and safe environment while ensuring the scheme remains well-maintained and secure.

Hours: 35 hours per week, mostly daytime shifts with occasional nights as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a consistent and friendly point of contact for clients and visitors
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies in line with QVT procedures
  • Conduct regular fire safety tests and follow local evacuation processes
  • Maintain cleanliness and carry out minor repairs to keep the scheme safe and homely
  • Perform room checks and property inspections, reporting issues promptly
  • Support residents during move-in and move-out processes
  • Keep accurate records using our client database (Inform)
  • Attend and contribute to house and team meetings
  • Handle incidents and challenging behaviours with care and professionalism
  • Work with other team members to uphold safeguarding practices
  • Provide cover at other QVT locations when needed
  • Liaise with external agencies and attend relevant meetings
  • Travel between schemes as required.

  • Understands issues around mental health, housing and safety
  • Is organised, adaptable and able to stay calm in a crisis
  • Has basic IT skills and can manage digital records
