Supported Housing Deputy Manager
Location: South-East London / Croydon | Salary: Up to £40,495 + generous holiday & benefits | Full Time – 35 hours per week

The Role

‘We’re looking for a compassionate and organised Deputy Manager to support our Supported Housing Manager in delivering a safe, empowering and person-centred service to individuals facing the challenges of compound trauma and complex needs, across our accommodation-based support settings.’

You’ll help lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver tailored support to individuals with mental health needs and complex behaviours. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring services remain compliant and effective. You’ll also join the Manager-On-Call rota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee support plans and monitor client progress
  • Manage team rotas, recruitment, supervision and training
  • Maintain health and safety and compliance across schemes
  • Deputise for the Supported Housing Manager and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Lead monthly house and staff meetings, and follow up with minutes and actions
  • Liaise with maintenance to minimise void periods and maintain standards
  • Deliver regular audits and ensure records are accurate and inspection-ready
  • Collaborate with external agencies to support client goals
  • Support budget management and ensure value for money
  • Participate in launching new services and ongoing service improvement

The Person

  • Experience in supported housing or mental health services
  • Skilled in team leadership, client care, and managing complex needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, responsive environment
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and housing database systems
  • Able to travel between sites and participate in the On-Call rota.
