Operations Specialist – Drayage & FTL

About the Opportunity
We're seeking multiple logistics professionals to join a high-performing team at a rapidly growing transportation solutions provider. These roles are instrumental in delivering consistent results across a broad portfolio of domestic freight, with an emphasis on port and over-the-road shipments.

As an Operations Executive, you'll ensure smooth execution of day-to-day freight activity—managing either a focused group of high-volume accounts or a wider mix of contract and spot freight. Your attention to detail, follow-through, and responsiveness will help ensure shipments arrive on time, every time.

What You’ll Do:

  • Organize and track the daily transport of freight across various modes and regions.
  • Monitor transit updates and proactively flag issues to avoid delays.
  • Build solid relationships with customers and carriers through consistent communication.
  • Manage time-critical requests and ensure all milestones are met accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and shipment information for internal systems and billing.
  • Partner with account managers and internal teams to meet service standards and expectations.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for reliable, detail-oriented professionals with a passion for logistics and a strong sense of ownership.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stay organized while managing time-sensitive tasks.
  • Customer- and carrier-service mindset with a bias for action.
  • Familiarity with operational systems or TMS platforms is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1–3 years in a freight or transportation operations role.
  • Experience with drayage, intermodal, or FTL shipments preferred.
  • Background in working with scheduling systems or freight tracking tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is helpful, but not required.

Why Join Us:
This is an opportunity to step into a growing part of the business with real momentum behind it. We offer:

  • Competitive compensation with incentives.
  • Bonus + Commission
  • Full medical benefits package.
  • 401(k) with company contribution.
  • Flexible PTO and paid holidays.
  • A culture of teamwork, accountability, and career growth.
  • Office-based role in the northern suburbs, with hybrid flexibility.
