The Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and technically driven individual to join our team as a Senior Technical Support Engineer in the cladding sector. This role focuses on providing high-level technical expertise, product development input, certification management, and design support.

You will work closely with the Sales Team, Management and R&D teams to ensure that our cladding systems are technically robust, fully compliant, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of façade systems and a proven ability to support cross-functional teams throughout the lifecycle of façade-related projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong façade or building envelope background to take on a central support role in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Please Note: This is a fully office-based position at 4 Bedlam Mews, London, SE11.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical support to internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Respond to technical enquiries regarding cladding systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Collaborate with the R&D Manager and design team on the development, testing, and refinement of new systems.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including certification records and system performance data.
  • Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, fire safety standards, and façade testing requirements.
  • Produce and review technical drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD tools.
  • Liaise with production and logistics teams to align product specifications with project requirements.
  • Create technical content such as reports, manuals, and presentations for clients and internal use.
  • Conduct virtual product demonstrations, CPD sessions, and training for architects, contractors, and stakeholders—including project-specific presentations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and technical forums as a subject matter expert.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to support product innovation and strategic planning.
  • Provide post-installation support by addressing technical issues or queries during or after project completion.

The Person

  • Strong background in the Cladding, Façade or Building Envelope sector – ideally from an engineering, façade consultancy, or architectural background
  • Deep technical understanding of rainscreen cladding systems, materials, and certification processes (e.g. CWCT, fire testing, wind load calculations)
  • Advanced problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to provide detailed technical insight across teams and projects
  • Proficiency in technical drawing tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar software
  • Familiarity with building regulations, façade testing standards, and system documentation requirements
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous experience in a technical support, R&D or façade engineering role within the construction or building materials sector
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to contribute to innovation, quality and project success
