Location: North Kensington, London, W10
Salary: £47,244 per annum
Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with occasional evening and weekend work)
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the adult and community learning programme, ensuring alignment with the Trust’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement a compelling curriculum that responds to community needs and national policy requirements.
  • Provide operational and academic leadership to a diverse team of tutors and staff.
  • Oversee the budget for adult learning initiatives and ensure effective resource management.
  • Foster a culture of pride and excellence within the team while encouraging continuous professional development.
  • Represent Westway Trust externally, advocating for the learning programme within the local community.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, working with external bodies such as Ofsted and awarding organisations.
  • Drive quality improvement efforts and support the self-assessment and quality improvement processes.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in adult education.
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • A teaching qualification and a Level 4 TAQA qualification in Internal Quality Assurance or equivalent.
  • Experience in curriculum development, including accredited and non-accredited courses.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of adult learning policies and national standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable: A background in ESOL and knowledge of the local North Kensington area.
