The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Catholic Religious Education (RE) Coordinator to lead, organise and support a wide range of faith formation activities. From sacramental preparation and Sunday School to Bible studies and holiday programmes, you’ll help nurture the spiritual growth of children and families in our Catholic community.

This is a contracted part-time position working at least 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

         ·         Organise and supervise all Catholic RE activities, including Sunday School, sacraments, Bible Studies, and holiday programmes

         ·         Recruit, train and lead a team of volunteers

         ·         Ensure RE spaces are set up, secure, clean, and fully equipped before and after sessions

         ·         Recommend and maintain approved Catholic RE curriculum and literature

         ·         Draft and submit lesson plans using Microsoft Office-compatible software

         ·         Share lesson plans with volunteers in a timely manner

         ·         Support the delivery of virtual RE sessions when needed

         ·         Promote and manage Vacation Bible School (VBS), including registration and volunteer coordination

         ·         Help prepare and track the Catholic RE annual budget

         ·         Identify and request necessary resources for RE activities through the Chaplain

         ·         Provide activity reporting information as needed

The Person

         ·         Has a good understanding of Roman Catholic doctrine and RE materials

         ·         Holds a Bachelor's degree or has 4+ years of experience in religious education

         ·         Is confident using computers and standard office software

         ·         Has strong people skills and can lead volunteers effectively

         ·         Is organised, reliable, and committed to the values of the Catholic Church
