The contractor nurse must be able to provide complete assessments, provide comprehensive care during patient visits, discuss chief complaints, obtain vital signs, complete health history, and document health information in the EMR system.
Candidates can reside in any of the following states: Illinois, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Massachusetts
Responsibilities
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
- Executes plan of care directives accurately
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician
- Communicate on collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate patient logging
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
- Conduct phone triage to assess patient needs and coordinate follow-up care
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments, including IV starts when ordered, while educating patients on procedures and medications
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, coordinate referrals, and provide education to patients on medications and potential side effects
Communication
- Prepares and provides clinical notes/charting to clients’ case managers internal partners/peers on patient’s overall progress
Qualifications
- RN License required
- Ability to travel is required
- Current state nursing license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Independent contractor
- CPR Certification
- Must pass a full background check
- Malpractice Insurance required
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
