Electrical Project Engineer, Manchester, Competitive Salary

Dalkia Engineering are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Specialist Services and Infrastructure teams in Manchester.

Responsibilities will include managing and delivering complex multi-discipline (electrically biased) projects successfully. Providing electrical engineering expertise to multiple projects. Implement Dalkia engineering processes and tools and interpret designs and procure all electrical plant & materials within budget and to maximise profit. Provide technical electrical assistance to in house and sub-contract labour.

This role will be based in Manchester and travel will apply on a national basis. Excellent benefits and a competitive salary will be offered.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage/ oversee labour and subcontractors against the scope of works, monitoring performance and productivity against project plans, recording and reporting progress
  • Lead and deliver successful projects as part of the Dalkia operational delivery team, on time and within budget
  • Build on existing client relationships and from new
  • Ensure compliance to all Dalkia Group policies and procedures. Liaise closely with the Project,
  • Commercial, Engineering/Design and Estimating teams
  • Provide technical expertise, lead the project team and develop/maintain a productive efficient

             working relationship

Key Skills

The successful candidate will be timed served and qualified to at least HNC/D level and have suitable experience in Electrical Building Services Engineering and will possess:

  •        ECS Card
  •       18TH EDITION
  •       NVQ/C&G electrical qualifications
  •       Produce and execute electrical ITP, quality plans and quality reviews
  •       Experience in managing turnkey projects with the main concentration of experience being the electrical works.  Knowledge of other relevant aspects of the construction process and mechanical installations are also a requirement
  •        Experience in producing programmes and procurement schedules
  •        A proven technical knowledge of Electrical services
  •        A proven track record of delivery within the M&E installation sector up to £5m
  •         Experience managing multiple site-based team/s
  •         Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  •         Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve
  •         High level of self-motivation, organisational ability and drive to meet deadlines
  •         Commercially aware, experience of managing electrical budgets, and forecasting cost on projects
  •         Over 5 years’ experience in an electrical building services engineering role. (post qualified)
  •         IT literate and conversant with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Project
  •         Fully conversant with CDM regulations
  •         Customer focussed and able to communicate at the highest level within client organisations
  •         Experience in civils (Desirable)
  •         Experience in the pharmaceutical, microelectronics and healthcare markets is preferred particularly in the construction of laboratories and cleanrooms (Desirable)
  •         2391 test & inspection
  •         COMPEX trained (Desirable)
  •         Experience as working as an electrical AP
  •         IOSH Managing Safety (Desirable)
