Project Coordinator - $75,000–$90,000 (based on experience) – Calgary, AB

The Role

Traugott Building Contractors Inc. is looking for a Project Coordinator in Calgary. You’ll support projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring documentation, communication, and administration run smoothly. This role is ideal if you want to develop into a Project Manager and gain experience across a variety of commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Construction

  • Support project startup, permits, and approvals
  • Coordinate documentation, drawings, and consultant communication
  • Assist with tendering, bid reviews, and subcontractor management
  • Help create schedules and execution plans

Construction Phase

  • Track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change events
  • Maintain clear communication between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams
  • Keep project records up to date in Procore and other systems
  • Support reporting, cost tracking, and change order documentation

Project Closeout

  • Manage deficiencies and final handover
  • Collect warranties, manuals, and as-built documentation

The Person

  • Minimum 3 years’ commercial construction coordination experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing documentation, drawings, and schedules
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused, and motivated to grow into Project Management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Procore experience is a plus
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar preferred
