Do you bring 10+ years of experience delivering complex construction projects? Looking to take the lead on large-scale educational builds from concept through completion?

PMCS Group is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager / Owner’s Authorized Representative I (OAR I). In this role, you’ll take ownership of projects end-to-end—covering planning, procurement, construction, and final close-out. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and public sector stakeholders to ensure each project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with District expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages of the project lifecycle: pre-construction, bidding, construction, and close-out
  • Review pre-construction documentation and provide informed feedback
  • Produce and present regular progress updates to senior leadership
  • Liaise with public agencies to maintain compliance across all phases
  • Track budgets and timelines, ensuring accurate monthly reporting
  • Monitor on-site contractor performance and review construction schedules
  • Address contractor queries and manage change orders and submittals
  • Oversee payments and ensure contractual compliance across all parties
  • Coordinate the delivery and installation of fixtures, furniture, and equipment (FF&E)
  • Manage project certification and financial close-out with the Division of the State Architect (DSA)

The Company

At PMCS Group, Inc., we combine over 70 years of collective experience with a team of 130+ professionals across construction, engineering, architecture, and inspection. Our focus is simple—deliver high-quality projects efficiently and reliably.

We work closely with organisations such as the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), California State University (CSU) campuses, and other public agencies. Our projects play a key role in enhancing educational environments and public infrastructure throughout California.

The Benefits

  • PTO: 120 hours per year (vacation and sick time), accruing from day one and available after 30 days
  • Holidays: 8 paid holidays annually, including New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
  • Insurance: 100% employee coverage for Medical, Dental, and Vision (dependents and enhanced plans available at additional cost – Kaiser and Anthem Blue Cross options)
  • 401(k): 100% match on the first 3%, plus 50% match on the next 2% (fully vested immediately)
  • Professional Development: Up to $1,000 per year for certifications, licenses, and continued education
  • Parking: Provided or reimbursed up to $100/month where applicable
