You’ll be working in a state-of-the-art hospital with access to advanced equipment including multiple operating theatres, CT scanning, interventional radiology, and a full in-house laboratory. It’s an environment designed for high-quality care, continuous learning, and clinical progression.

The Role

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across all areas of the hospital.

This is a rotational position, giving you exposure to diagnostics, anaesthesia, theatre, wards, and medical oncology. You’ll work closely with specialists, residents, and a large, supportive nursing team, gaining hands-on experience with complex and rewarding cases.

You don’t need previous referral experience – full training and support will be provided through a structured induction tailored to your experience.

The role is 40 hours a week, working four 10-hour shifts per week to include weekends, on calls and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of patient care across all hospital departments
  • Monitor anaesthesia and support surgical procedures
  • Assist with diagnostics, treatments, and inpatient care
  • Support patient flow and work closely with the wider clinical team
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and follow hospital protocols

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified and RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Strong foundation in general nursing skills and anaesthesia monitoring
  • A genuine desire to learn and develop in a referral setting
  • Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues
  • A team player who can also use their own initiative
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Referral or advanced practice experience
  • Additional nursing qualifications or certifications
  • Experience with oncology or soft tissue cases
