Location: Remote, with travel to NYC for client meetings

The Role

Generic Network Systems (GNS) is looking for a Sales Director to drive sales of our boutique technology-managed services and hosting business. Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll help shape and implement new sales processes and lead campaigns that bring exciting new products to market. Your primary focus will be identifying and converting prospective clients, primarily within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue sales leads, moving them through the sales pipeline from prospect to client
  • Develop and execute sales campaigns tailored to industry changes
  • Build relationships with potential clients and convert leads into sales
  • Expand business with existing clients by introducing new services
  • Collaborate with business partners to create new business opportunities
  • Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients
  • Obtain AWS and Azure certifications to enhance your technical sales expertise (with our support).

The Person

  • Live within commuting distance to Manhattan for occasional meetings.
  • Minimum 4 years of sales experience, ideally selling technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure), computer infrastructure, or related technology is a plus
  • Self-starter who can work independently and develop innovative solutions
  • Bonus points for experience in financial services, especially with investment management or securities trading.
