Sales Executive (Laboratory Equipment Sales) Regional Sales – Competitive Salary – Remote

The Role

Are you experienced in selling highly technical capital equipment? Do you thrive in developing and nurturing client relationships in a targeted territory? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!

As a Sales Executive (Laboratory Equipment Sales) you will be responsible for driving sales and developing business within the Michigan and Ohio territory. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a relatively new or junior-level salesperson to excel with our company's exceptional training and support.

This is a home office-based opportunity, and the person could live anywhere in Ohio or Michigan.   This is direct selling to a very identifiable and targeted customer base.  One of the big pluses about this company is their customer base is incredibly diverse. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the Michigan and Ohio territory.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to generate leads and expand the customer base.  Let’s change this somehow.  I want to stress that this company has a very effective marketing department that is generating lots of leads, but sometimes it’s necessary to cold call a very important potential customer.
  • Conduct demonstrations and effectively communicate the features and benefits of our advanced testing equipment to technical customers.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities with targeted accounts through cold calling and proactive outreach.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.

The Person

  • A minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience in technical capital equipment.
  • Laboratory equipment experience (a big plus).
  • The ability to understand and effectively demonstrate complex equipment to technical customers.
  • Degree in material science, chemistry, polymers, or mechanical engineering preferred.
