The Role

As an Outside Sales Account Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the success of the sales team and the company as a whole. Your proactive approach, effective communication skills, and commitment to professionalism are key to excelling in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business from companies not currently engaged with the dealership.
  • Identify and contact prospective customers through various channels such as lead groups, personal networks, and online platforms.
  • Present company offerings including products and services.
  • Respond to incoming bids and quote requests.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
  • Oversee projects through completion.
  • Contribute to budgeting and sales projections.
  • Participate in periodic vendor and sales training.
  • Collaborate on team goals and attend meetings.

Serving West, TN, North, MS, Arkansas, and the surrounding region, our 6,000-sq. ft. showroom has a large variety of new and pre-owned workstations, desks, seating, tables, and filing/storage to meet every style and price point. We are also the Mid-South’s largest dealer for brand name pre-owned furniture that is often compelling for clients seeking greater value.

Our clients range in size from small businesses to large corporate projects, and we approach each one with the focus of getting it right from our customer’s perspective. We also cover other markets, including education, healthcare, and government organizations to provide quality workspace from over 60 leading manufacturers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • We provide a very competitive initial salary during the first (6) months that transitions to a lucrative commission/bonus plan. Successful candidates can easily exceed $100,000 in second year.
  • Benefits include paid time off, Simple IRA plan with company match, and T&E expenses.

The Person

  • Minimum 4-year undergraduate degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in a business-to-business setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to consistent follow up.
  • Industry experience with an established network of business contacts and proven involvement in community organizations is a plus.
