Sales Engineer-Competitive Salary – Tonbridge, Kent

The Role

Are you great at building relationships and confident in liaising with customers? Do you have a commercial mindset and the ability to understand technical products? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Sales and Marketing team at our Tonbridge site. This is a newly created role to support our expansion and future succession planning.

You will receive full training on our extensive product range and global applications. The role is primarily office-based, but you’ll also visit customers and help set up and run exhibitions.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week but there is also the option to work a 9-day fortnight. The position also offers free life insurance worth 3 x the salary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Provide technical support and advice on our product range
• Handle enquiries and process orders
• Assist with sales and marketing initiatives
• Attend exhibitions and customer visits as required.

The Person

• Excellent customer liaison and people skills.
• Numerate and literate.
• Commercially aware.
• Computer literate in MS Office and media savvy

• Would suit someone with a little sales experience as we intend to train this person in our products, sales and marketing. The persons communication skills and personality are perhaps more important than their sales experience.
