Purpose of Role

  • Take the lead in sourcing and analysing external datasets and competitive intelligence, to drive insight to drive identification and evaluation of potential transaction opportunities.
  • Own the project management and maintenance of internal databases, business models, and the CRM within the Business Development function.
  • Maintain KPI dashboards to track and report performance of Business Development function.
  • Develop and cultivate a strong global network of potential market data providers for Kent Athlone Group in collaboration with the Business Development Team.

Principal duties and responsibilities

  • Critically analyse market data and commercial information from several sources to evaluate market trends, assess opportunity, and build market forecasts.
  • Build financial models to forecast the potential revenues and valuation of target assets.
  • Support Ad hoc requests for information or analysis, to support members of Business Development or senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with other internal Business Intelligence professions across other functions to maximise synergies and integration of data sets, reporting and applications.
  • Assist in the Maintenance of the New Product Development tracker and Project plans for all existing NPD Projects as well as updates to monthly reports.
  • Manage formal reporting of NPD activity and timelines for Senior Leadership Team and Kent Athlone Group.
  • Work  with other Business Development colleagues, proactively assist with updating and maintaining the BD asset Target list in line with strategy.
  • Take the lead developing the functionality and content of the CRM system in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Effectively and concisely communicate business insights through multiple formats (e.g., slide decks, live presentations).

Key Skills and qualifications required

  • Advanced degree (MA, MBA, MPH, MS, or PhD in life sciences, social sciences or statistics) and/or relevant experience in the biopharma, healthcare, market research, consulting, or financial sectors.
  • Strong IT skills especially with Microsoft Office. Advanced user of Excel.
  • Previous experience in using Iqvia/IMS data or simialr
  • Ability to interpret data and insights and turn into compelling, quality narratives through a commercial lens is required. Experience in working with complex data sets
  • Strong attention to detail, and highly organised, excellent project management capability, with strong work ethic.
  • Well organized and self-directed in own area of responsibility whilst also being focused on achieving the company’s strategic goals and initiatives
  • Fluency in English. Other languages desirable.
  • Highly motivated and ambitious.
