MyCardium AI, a rapidly growing company using AI to revolutionise cardiac MRI analysis, is seeking a talented and ambitious Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Financial Controller to play a key role in our growth journey. You will be responsible for establishing a strong financial foundation for the company, bringing the management accounting function in-house and overseeing day-to-day financial operations.

This is a full-time position: 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the finance function, including accounts payable, receivable and billing.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and transactions.
• Manage a Finance Assistant, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and lead the month-end closing process.
• Conduct variance analysis, investigate discrepancies and recommend improvements.
• P&L Analysis: Drive improvements in P&L analysis by implementing enhanced commercial reporting methods that yield more insightful financial insights.
• Develop, maintain and refine budgets and forecasts.
• Provide insightful financial data to support strategic decision-making by the senior leadership team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cost control initiatives.
• Assist the Fractional Finance Director with ongoing projects and system improvements.

The Person

• Qualified Financial Controller (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with substantial experience in management accounting.
• Proven track record in a similar role with excellent technical ability across all financial areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Tenacious and responsible, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on driving business performance.
