Staff Accountant- $50,000-$60,000- Williamsville, NY

Well established local company is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to assist in managing day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The position requires a dynamic personality with strong communication skills, confidentiality, accounting acumen and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable function
• Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Reconcile bank account balances and maintain accurate record of balances
• Provide information and assistance to offsite Accountants as needed
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Manage banking relationships
• Respond to client questions regarding invoices, payments, etc.
• Correspond with past due accounts to collect payments
• Gather credit information to facilitate new account review and approval by management

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred
• BS in Accounting preferred
• Three to five years of full charge accounting experience
• Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
• Proficient with MS Office including Word. Outlook and Excel
• Must have the ability to prepare journal entries to facilitate the completion of monthly consolidated financial statements as well as perform accounting analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
