The Role

In this role, you will oversee the financial operations of the Group, including two companies. You will manage accounts, prepare financial reports, lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure compliance with all legal and tax obligations. You will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy and efficiency of the organisation.

We are looking for someone who is a fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years of experience, ideally in the construction or manufacturing sector. You should have strong knowledge of ROI and NI legal and tax regulations, experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage), and a proven ability to manage company audits. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Management: Oversee all accounting processes for the Group, ensuring the smooth operation of financial systems and processes across the organisation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, cash flow reports, and budgets. Provide detailed analysis of financial performance.
  • Budgets and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, and prepare and review forecasts with senior management to guide decision-making.
  • Sales Commission Structures: Design, implement, and manage sales commission structures to align with business goals and incentivise performance.
  • Day-to-Day Financial Operations: Manage debtor and creditor activities, banking transactions, payroll processing, and journal entries, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • System Improvement: Drive enhancements to improve financial systems and processes for better efficiency.
  • Audit Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for annual audits, ensuring preparedness and compliance.
  • Compliance and Taxation: Ensure the company’s compliance with ROI and NI tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, and other filings.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Address financial queries from management, staff, customers, suppliers, and Revenue authorities in a clear and timely manner.
