As a Maintenance Technician at SRL, you will join Urban64’s Assembly and Maintenance team in Solihull, helping to maintain and prepare traffic management equipment for use across the UK. You will be involved in servicing, repairs, installation, stock management and site support, ensuring our equipment continues to meet our reputation as a premium product.

This role offers variety, responsibility and the chance to develop your skills in a practical, technical environment.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test, and install Urban64 equipment in the warehouse to prepare for transportation to site.
  • Dismantle, clean, and test equipment returned from site, updating stock records accurately.
  • Maintain documentation, photos, and project updates within Teams and stock management systems.
  • Keep the Solihull depot clean, safe, and organised, adhering to PPE and safety standards.
  • Attend site for maintenance, repairs, or planned works, using a company vehicle as required.
  • Support deliveries and dispatch of goods, assisting the wider SRL business when necessary.

The Person

  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
  • Basic electrical fault finding experience.
  • Worked within a Highways environment.
  • A basic knowledge of traffic light equipment.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Competent in driving a company van and pickups up to 3.5 Ton in size.
  • Competent in the towing of a trailer with plant equipment loaded.
