Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy automated test systems for analog and mixed-signal products.
  • Create and maintain test software using LabVIEW, Python, or C#/C++.
  • Integrate test equipment and manage communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART).
  • Enhance and maintain current test hardware and software across production lines.
  • Act as a technical expert for Dataforth’s product portfolio.
  • Provide tier-3 support for complex customer issues and integration challenges.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to resolve product issues.
  • Manage technical execution, schedules, and cost considerations for test projects.

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a closely related field.
  • 4+ years of direct experience in designing, developing and implementing test solutions for analog and mixed-signal products.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, especially as it applies to test fixtures and device interfaces.
  • Proficiency in a relevant programming language for test automation (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++).
  • Hands-on experience using and controlling test equipment like DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical support or applications engineering role is a significant plus (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with various communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet) (Preferred)
  • Experience with database interaction for test data storage and analysis (Preferred)
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude or CAD experience for designing enclosures and fixtures (Preferred)
