LNG Projects Consultant–£100,000-£145,000 + Bonus- London/ Surrey

The Role

Are you experienced in managing large-scale LNG projects? Do you have the technical and operational knowledge to support complex dispute resolution and advisory work? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are working with a prestigious consulting practice who are seeking a highly experienced Project Consultant with extensive LNG knowledge.

You will play a critical part in supporting expert consulting assignments. Your work will focus on technical and project delivery aspects of LNG and natural gas processing, regasification and associated infrastructure.

This is a senior-level position, ideal for someone who has led large LNG facility projects and understands every stage from design to start-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on technical issues related to LNG facilities.
  • Review and interpret project data related to cost, schedule, and operations.
  • Support dispute resolution through analysis and reporting.
  • Apply operational expertise to assess design and construction phases.
  • Contribute to client reports and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Person

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated technical and project management experience in major LNG facility projects, with an EPC contractor and/or owner company.
  • Application of LNG operational requirements to the design, construction, commissioning, and start-up of LNG projects.
  • Experience analysing capital cost and schedule on LNG Industry projects and the resulting impact of overruns on product delivery commitments.
  • Construction, commissioning, and start-up of an LNG liquefaction and/or regasification facility.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.  Other engineering degrees will be considered with consummate experience.
  • A minimum of 20 years in the LNG Industry with at least five years in senior level leadership roles.  Corporate level leadership is a plus.
  • MBA, Professional Engineer license (or equivalent) is a plus.
  • The ability to explain complex technical matters in simple-to-understand terms to non-technical clients.
