Administrator / Purchasing Assistant

Yearly Salary – £22,000 - £24,000 + Bonus

Intec Microsystems are a £75m T/O IT distributor in their 20^th year of trading specialising in the global distribution of branded IT Hardware, Services and Support. Our main business is the supply of popular product lines from key manufacturers such as HP, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, Dell, Riello, Ubiquiti, Goodram, Teltonika, Zyxel and more. We supply millions of pounds worth of discounted IT hardware and have access to hundreds of millions worth throughout the UK and Europe ready for next day delivery. Intec have grown every year since launching in 2003 and have one of the lowest turnover of staff in the UK.

You will be applying for a role in the purchasing or sales departments which are key areas to the success of the business and be working in a young, energetic, and exciting environment. 

The role:

Office Hours 08:30-17:30, with some home working flexibility.

• Raising purchase orders
• Calling suppliers and building valuable relationships with UK and European companies
• Helping the sales team procure stock for customer requirements
• Negotiation pricing with suppliers to increase company margins
• Liaising with different departments within the company
• Maintaining stock levels
• Chasing arrival date for incoming stock
• Confirming back orders
• Booking in direct deliveries
• Using our in-house systems, IMS & Forturo as well as various Microsoft Office applications

• Good organisational skills
• Proficient and proactive in prioritising your own workload
• The ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressured environment
• The ability to work well in a team and on your own
• Be confident when using computers and using Microsoft Office applications
• A willingness to learn, develop your skills and knowledge on a consistent basis
• Keen to grow in a role and company. The long-term career prospects are excellent
• Strong attention to detail as parts and products, along with the general market constantly change
