The Role

We're looking for a motivated Customer and Business Support Officer to join our lively Housing Landlord Service team at Winchester City Council. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries through various channels such as telephone, email, the housing IT portal, and face-to-face interactions at the Council offices. You will provide essential administrative support to the Housing Operations Service.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a busy team managing contacts and administering vital housing functions. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and well organised with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering telephone calls.
  • Sending standard correspondence.
  • Processing tenancy changes and mutual exchanges.
  • Managing self-service portal enquiries.
  • Paying invoices, raising works orders, and purchase orders.

  • Sound IT and keyboard skills
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Excellent customer care skills
