Are you someone who believes in informed planning to ensure seamless experiences? Do you thrive on providing solid solutions in the intricate world of operations?

Paws en route stands at the forefront of pet transportation solutions, serving pet owners and clients alike. We're looking for a dedicated Operations Associate to join our team, a role integral to our ongoing success. You'll be working closely with the sales team to manage the granular details of pet travel, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey for both pets and their owners.

This is an independent contractor position for 40 hours per week with competitive compensation. Paws intention is to move this role to an employment contract within 3 months.

Only Canadian-based candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various aspects of pet travel, including document preparation, flight booking, appointment scheduling, and coordination with international pet travel agencies.
  • Address customer inquiries on travel details, process, and documentation.
  • Aid customers in obtaining required certifications and completing necessary documents.
  • Keep team members updated on changing air travel regulations and details.
  • Handle incoming leads from web forms, chat bots, and phone calls, and delegate or resolve them appropriately.
  • Utilize our SalesForce CRM to manage and organize trip details.

The Company

Paws en Route was started as an answer to a need for pet transportation after the personal struggle of our founder to find a service to transport her furry family member. We dedicated time and spent endless hours researching pet parent’s requirements in order to offer a top-quality service which put their pet’s transportation needs first.

The Person

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented yet practical, avoiding "analysis paralysis."
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, ensuring customer comfort throughout the pet travel process.
  • Tech-savvy, capable of quickly learning new systems and adapting to industry changes.
  • A team player who can also excel individually.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SalesForce is a plus.
