Administrator/ Receptionist – £28,000 – Canterbury, Kent

The Role

Do you have excellent administration skills and attention to detail? Are you looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a well-established truck rental service provider, looking to appoint a highly organised Administrator/ Receptionist to our growing team.

You will be the first point of contact for our customers and play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

If you’re a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone enquiries for rental enquires.
  • Prepare email proposals for customers rental enquires.
  • Prepare rental documentation for confirmed hires.
  • Meet customers returning / collecting of vehicles going on / off hire.
  • Manage hand overs for vehicles required to go out on hire daily.
  • Forward availability schedules via email to customer base.
  • Assist with Social media posts and advertising.
  • Deal with Penalty Charge Notices for customers.

The Company

CVME was established in 1982 by Philip Browning carrying out servicing, repairs and modifications to commercial vehicles. In 1985 a customer operating several removal vans was unable to settle his account so asked if a removal van would be acceptable as payment. This was accepted, and CVME adapted to a rental company with a spot hire removal truck.

Over the years CVME has added a range of vehicles to its already growing fleet which is now in excess of 710 commercial vehicles and refrigerated trailers.

The Person

  • Has strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Is confident in dealing with customers both in person and over the phone.
  • Has a good understanding of Microsoft Office and email systems.
  • Works well in a team and independently.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
