The Role

Do you have experience leading religious education programmes and enjoy working with people of all ages? Are you highly organised with a strong understanding of faith traditions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are seeking a Religious Education (RE) Coordinator to oversee and support our RE programmes. You will organise activities, manage resources, and work closely with chaplaincy staff and volunteers to deliver meaningful learning experiences.

This is a part-time position, working on average 20-30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, including selecting curricula, ordering supplies, and submitting annual budgets.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee RE programmes and activities.
  • Lead RE sessions when needed.
  • Submit reports for staff meetings to support collaboration and continuity.
  • Attend quarterly Parish Advisory Council (PPAC) meetings.
  • Complete all mandatory training and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Participate in professional and spiritual growth training as approved.
  • Assist in developing annual Chapel Tithes and Offerings Fund (CTOF) and appropriated fund budgets.
  • Support volunteers in planning events and managing facility use and funding requests.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

The Person

  • At least two years’ experience in a similar or related role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or willing to learn within two months.
  • Strong typing skills.
  • Experience working with children and young people (ages 0–18).
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Infant CPR training (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Strong understanding of faith traditions and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
