Wrap Around Care Manager (with optional Holiday Club Lead) -£15.00 Per Hour– Wolverhampton, WV6

The Role

Are you confident leading a small team and creating a fun, safe environment for children? If you are looking for a term-time role with the option (if desired) of holiday hours too, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a welcoming independent school with a strong sense of community and a commitment to providing high-quality care beyond the classroom, looking for a Wrap Around Care Manager to join us in September 2025.

You will lead our Morning and After School Club team to deliver a friendly, supportive and stimulating environment for children before and after the school day.

This role is term-time only, with hours from 7.30am–8.30am and 3.15pm–6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

If you wish, this position can be extended to include leading our non-term time Holiday Club, which runs 8.00am–5.30pm during school holidays (12 weeks a year).

If you're ready to lead a vibrant wrap around care setting—and possibly our Holiday Club too—we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day running of the club and managing staff.
  • Preparing and running themed activities and events.
  • Ensuring a safe, caring and engaging environment.
  • Liaising with parents and school staff to support each child’s wellbeing.
  • Handling club admin including registers, records and supplies.
  • Unlocking/locking the building when required.
  • Maintaining good communication with the school office and senior team.

The School

Newbridge Preparatory School is a unique school dedicated to the education of pupils aged two to eleven.

At our contemporary preparatory school, our mission is to provide a high-quality education to our children by harmoniously blending time-honoured principles with innovative teaching and learning approaches. Distinctively unaffiliated with any senior school, we take pride in being Wolverhampton’s sole truly independent ‘Prep’ school. Our close-knit, intimate school community resembles a family, where every individual knows one another. We cultivate an atmosphere where children can flourish.

The Person

  • Prior experience working with children in a similar capacity (e.g., school club, summer camp, day care, etc.) and holds a Level 3 Childcare qualification or higher.
  • Strong communication skills, both with children and adults.
  • Ability to work well within a team and lead by example.
  • A positive and energetic attitude with a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule to work shifts during school holiday periods.
  • A valid first aid certification is a plus but not required (training can be provided).
