Junior IT Administrator - £26,000 to £28,000 - Guildford Surrey GU4 7WA / Hybrid-working

Are you confident with Active Directory and Microsoft 365? Can you provide friendly and efficient IT support with a hands-on approach?

Britannic, an award-winning IT company based in Guildford, is looking for a Junior IT Administrator to support our internal teams and help maintain our IT systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, forward-thinking business where your skills will be valued and developed.

The Role

This full-time position is ideal for someone with at least two years’ IT experience. You’ll be delivering first-line support, managing hardware, and working across Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and Power Automate.

You’ll be based at our Guildford office five days a week for the first month, moving to a hybrid pattern (three days from home) after that.

Because public transport is not ideal, we are seeking people that have their own transport and a full UK driving licence as a must.

Please note: We are only able to consider candidates already based in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for IT queries and issues.
  • Set up and manage laptops, desktops, and other hardware.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft 365 services.
  • Maintain accurate IT records, inventory, and documentation.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and device returns.
  • Help maintain demo rooms and assist with internal systems.
  • Log and manage help desk tickets and escalate issues when needed.

About Our Company

Founded in 1984, Britannic is a leading value-added reseller and systems integrator. We partner with top names like 8x8, BT, Calabrio, Five9, Fortinet, Microsoft, Mitel, and Zoom, advancing our vision of a connected, sustainable future through smart technology and talented people.

Our in-house software development, best practice services, and innovation set us apart, enabling us to enhance our clients' operations. Our team specialises in business communications, contact centres, unified communications, networking, AI, automation, and systems integration, with a focus on value creation, risk mitigation, and trust-based customer relationships.

The Benefits

  • 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working (after initial month).
  • Pension scheme and life insurance.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Birthday and volunteering day off.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • High street discount vouchers.

The Person

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Local to Guildford and can commute within 1 hour.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on IT experience, specifically with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Comfortable setting up IT hardware and providing support.
  • A good communicator, problem-solver, and team player.
  • Happy to follow procedures and maintain clear documentation.
