£100,000 to £145,000 per annum (SAR 45 to 60K SAR per month) including housing + a possible contribution to school fees.

We're seeking a talented Risk Engineer to play a pivotal role in our international insurance client’s Downstream Energy Insurance division. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise to a spectrum of COMAH regulated downstream production facilities, providing in-depth insights that drive our insurance and risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site physical condition surveys and inspections of major refinery, LNG, and/or petrochemical plants.
  • Analyse and assess operating, maintenance, and safety practices and procedures.
  • Deliver detailed desktop risk assessments.
  • Generate comprehensive technical reports on risk for underwriters, carriers, and clients.
  • Engage and collaborate with clients, ensuring the delivery of top-notch risk management solutions.

The Person

  • Proven experience in the operational, maintenance, technical support, investment management, and development of major refinery, LNG, and/or petrochemical facilities.
  • Familiarity with hydro skimming/conversion processes, olefins, and/or BTX.
  • Exceptional analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to undertake around 70 days of international travel within the EMEA annually.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
