Finance Assistant – Competitive Salary – London

The Role

The Energy Industries Council is looking for a capable Finance Assistant to join their team. You will be competent in dealing with numbers, have good attention to detail and able to work to deadlines. Key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Full responsibility for purchase ledger
  • Preparing and running weekly BACS payments & reconciling supplier statements
  • Monthly reconciliations
  • Ownership of “Concur” – EIC’s online employee expense system
  • Maintaining and updating changes in Sage 50
  • Controlling and organising all incoming accounts correspondence
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Assisting in the quarterly and annual year end routines in respect of all group companies
  • Providing additional support as required by the Financial Controller

We have seven offices globally and currently seek a capable and experienced Finance Assistant with a mature outlook to join the team in London.

The Person

The key qualifications and experience of a Finance Assistant:

  • Experience in using Sage 50
  • Experience in producing monthly reconciliations – bank, credit card & petty cash
  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good team player, able to collaborate with non-finance as well as finance specialist colleagues
  • Experience of an online expense system and a working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM will be advantageous
