Sales Development Executive – £23,000 to £28,000 + commission – Watford / Iver Heath

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious Sales Development Executive to identify and generate sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling activities. The right candidate will be one who works well under pressure, thinks out-of-the-box, easily initiates relaxed but informative two-way phone conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated. The key responsibilities of a Sales Development Executive include, but are not limited to:

  • Following up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
  • Creating target prospects lists and penetrate key accounts
  • Cold calling into prospects generated by variety of outside sources
  • Identifying key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin sales cycle
  • Profiling strategic accounts identifying key individuals, researching and obtaining business requirements and presenting solutions
  • Nurturing new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with a presale’s technical rep
  • Driving attendance for webinars and live seminars, set meetings for conferences
  • Ensuring successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application

The Person

The Sales Development Executive will be an ambitious self-starter and someone that can effectively process inbound inquiries and identify qualified leads and opportunities. Relationship selling skills, with the ability to manage sales calls at varying levels of customer accounts, are essential.

Other key skills and qualities of a Sales Development Executive also include:

  • 1+ year of successful experience in telemarketing, preferably in the technology sector with a demonstrated success in prospecting
  • A college diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • Extremely self-motivated, a diligent work ethic, a high level of integrity and a strong commitment to building a successful career
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Adept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM applications preferred
